UX Mentor

WHAT I DO
As a UX mentor at Designlab, my goal is to guide students through the process of design thinking and show them new skills on Figma. With Designlab, students can have a 1-on-1 journey with a mentor to learn the fundamentals of design. What's great is that 9 out of 10 students switch careers without any design experience, and it's not required to have any design knowledge to take this course.

LOCATION
I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to mentor students from various corners of the world, each with their own unique backgrounds. It's truly inspiring to see how these students are able to leverage their previous experiences and incorporate them into their design work.
Not only does this mentoring experience provide me with the chance to guide and support them, but it also serves as a valuable avenue for my own learning. The exchange of ideas and insights creates a dynamic environment where both of us can grow and gain new perspectives.
CURRICULUM
I help mentor the UX Academy Foundations Course. In 4-8 weeks, students are able to complete 8 Units of different design projects to help them build a foundation of design skills.
