Project Overview

Overview

[Redacted Company] is a leading multimedia company with a strong presence across Canada and over 130 brands. [Redacted Company] has a solution where it provides a comprehensive service for creating and publishing advertisements across various markets.

In the past with this service, clients lacked a streamlined solution to self-manage their campaigns. However, this product focuses on providing clients with a holistic view of their digital marketing campaigns, offering valuable insights and analytics to drive informed decision-making. Empowering clients to take control, the Campaign Manager offers a personalized to-do list curated by their personal expert sales representative.

This ensures an organized workflow, allowing clients to efficiently manage their campaign tasks and stay on top of their advertising initiatives. By streamlining the campaign management process, the Campaign Manager also enables our sales team to concentrate on providing strategic solutions tailored to our client's unique objectives.

The Problem

Problem Discovery

As a client, there's no centralized platform for me to monitor and manage the tasks and deadlines necessary for my advertising to run smoothly.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

“How might we create a comprehensive task management system that provides clear task identification, deadlines, and execution guidance while offering visibility into essential tasks, enabling easy differentiation between completed and pending tasks, and ensuring reliable progress tracking for timely advertising execution? “

Research & Discovery

Our Users — Personas

Before starting designs I wanted to take a look at the people who will be using this product, and their wants and needs.

The Users Needs

Our users need the following, to make this project successful

  • Clarity on what tasks to complete, their deadlines, and how to execute them.

  • Visibility into essential tasks in order of priority to ensure my campaign stays on schedule.

  • A way to distinguish completed tasks from those pending on my to-do list.

  • A feature to mark completed tasks and a way to correct accidental markings.

  • A reliable progress tracking system for my order's timely execution and access to results when ready.

Iterations & Brainstorming

Analyzing Competitors & Brainstorming Ideas

We conducted an analysis of other task management applications to identify their strengths and weaknesses.

We circled and highlighted the key features we wanted to include in our designs. We tried to focus on solutions that could potentially solve our problem and meet the user’s needs.

The Solution

The Campaign Manager is a self-serve solution that enables users to complete tasks set by their sales representatives, providing more control over their campaigns.

Users have the freedom to complete tasks at their convenience, streamlining the campaign management process. This organized workflow allows clients to efficiently manage their campaign tasks and stay on top of their advertising initiatives. By reducing the need for sales team assistance in basic tasks like asset uploads and information retrieval, the Campaign Manager frees up the sales team's time to focus on offering strategic solutions tailored to the client's unique objectives.

Final Thoughts

💭 takeaways

Despite the extensive duration, this project ultimately didn't launch. Happens sometimes, you know—priorities shuffle, new stuff gets bumped down the list. Nonetheless, the collaboration and brainstorming with the team still holds significant value. We had great conversations about features, project paths, and how we can integrate this idea with current third-party vendors. All these ideas have been bookmarked for later use. Fingers crossed, we'll see this project live someday!
